Things to do
Hiking
Because we are in the Blue Ridge Mountains there are plenty of places to hike! One of our favorite places to hike is Amicalola Falls State Park with various difficulty levels of hiking trails. If Amicalola Falls doesn't look beautiful to you, AllTrails currated a list of all the Best Trails in Dahlonega.
Breweries and Wineries
Cheers to the weekend at 52 West Brewing, where you can visit the sweetest little hops garden and see the fluffy cows roaming the property, or enjoy the views at one of the many vineyards around Dahlonega (Wolf Mountain Vineyards looked like tea).
Coffee Shops
Caffeine up for the day at local coffee shops like Canopy + the Roots Coffee and Jethro's Coffee. If you're up for a bit of a drive, Jumpingoat Coffee Roasters and Tasting Room in Cleveland, Georgia is iconic for the 360 mountain views!
Bites
There are plenty of restaurants to explore around Dahlonega! We recommend hopping onto Google Maps and seeing what speaks to you!
Atlanta
If you find yourself in Atlanta, go walk around the Beltline, explore Decauter Square, or visit historic neiborhoods like Cabbagetown or Virginia Highlands. If you have a few hours, walk around Ponce City Market, Krog Street Market, or the Atlanta Botanical Gardens within Peidmont Park.
Rideshares/Taxis
If you are staying around the area and don't want to drive, there are probably some rideshare services (Uber and Lyft) opperating around the area. But in case you are not able to find a ride in the middle of nowhere Georgia, here's a list of Taxi services that are opperating in the area.
We recommend calling the taxi services ahead of time to make sure they are available. Also, we would highly recommend NOT mentioning you are attending a wedding as rates might go up. Instead, you are "attending an event" 😉

Closest Airport
For those getting in at peak travel times, we recommend renting a car at a location around the airport. We've had to wait 2-3 hours for cars to be returned and cleaned, so it might be easier to Uber to another rental location (you should still be able to drop off at the airport).
